It’s Friday, y’all. So rustle up some creative thinkin’ and have yourself a go at this week’s Guess that Lonely Heart:

Murderous best-selling author seeks boot-scootin’ hero to rescue her from forced friendship and bonding with cattle-rustling plastic women. Tumbles in the hayloft invited, but hero must be willing to accept heroine who at all times insists on speaking for herself.

DANG IT!

I was so sure I’d gotten an obscure one in here past your well-read noses.

Correctamundo, Rani. Mazel tov and nice job!

I’m crying foul!  You posted this at 5.16 am?  That is totally unfair to your West coast readers or anyone who, you know, needs caffeine to think.  :blank:

Congrats, Rani!

Well, therein lies the challenge. I’m on the east coast, and that was posted at 9:15am EDT. I’m not sure why the site’s date and time stamp don’t recognize the whole daylight savings thing. Maybe the site is in Indiana and refuses to spring forward and fall back.

But this is why Candy and I take turns. I can post at 9am EDT and she can post at 9am PDT. Of course, I think I vast majority of our readership is in the PDT and the MDT zones, since y’all are way active on the comments after I’ve gone to bed!

However, as someone who enjoys a good night’s sleep regardless of what time zone she’s in, if you like, Candy and I could agree to post the Lonely Hearts contest at the same time EDT/PDT each week. EE has marvelous powers with the time of posting!

So, what would you prefer? To know when the post will be up, or to have to get up early and stagger to the computer at 6am?

I don’t think I could do that weekly. The only time I’ve seen it done is when Hubby’s Bar Exam results were posted online at some ridiculous hour of the morning and he set the alarm to go log on.

And of course the page for his last name was a big 404 until five hours later. Ha.

Um, what about the rest of us? Namely, the UK!

[And the rest of the world, including Europe, of course.]

[Yes, I’m one of those morons who refuse to lump the UK with Europe, even though I know the UK is part of Europe. It’s a long, long story.]

[And, yes, I’m a big fan/long-time misuser of parentheses.]

I’m just bitching ‘cause I knew the answer to this and so desperately want a Smart Bitches title.  :)

I’d just like to be able to either check BEFORE I go out for the day (8:30 a.m. EST) or after I get home for the day (5:30 p.m. EST). People who don’t have computer access from 9-5 get screwed. ;)

And then there’s me, who’s around pretty much 24/7, but doesn’t know the answers.

I’ll get a title before I die if it kills me!
