  1. Ros says:

If anyone wants me today, I’ll just be over here, watching this video.  Again.  And again.  And again.

  2. Cath Bilson says:

I’m not sure if Fatboy Slim made it over there to the US, but this is quite a nod to a great Fatboy Slim video from a few years ago featuring a very similar dance routine by the fantastic Christopher Walken.
Hugh does a cracking job of it, though anyone who saw him in The Boy From Oz shouldn’t be surprised.

  3. ocelott says:

Oh, Hugh Jackman.  You know what makes this particularly sexy?  The whole commercial shows off not just his mad dancing skillz, but a sense of humour.  Seriously, you couldn’t do this without one.  Rwowr!

  4. Philippa Chapman says:

    :-~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  5. KatherineB says:

No, I agree! I loved the ‘weapon of choice’ video, and this a wonderful, humorous nod to that!
Ah… Hugh Jackman hoofing… Great stuff

  6. Lyssa says:

:drools…stares…smiles at that quirky little grin…mutters Hugh.

spamword you82: I wish there was 82 more of you Hugh.

  7. Cute! I do hope that Fatboy Slim got some credit for it, though.
Mind you, the stuff he’s advertising is just wrong. Horrid. I can forgive him that, though. Come to that there isn’t a lot I wouldn’t forgive Hugh for.
Anyway, here’s the ref to “Weapon of Choice.” Judge for yourselves:

And here’s one that didn’t make it over the ocean, but became almost a cult in Europe. The Salmon Dance:

  8. Walken wins the actor-dancing-in-a-hotel contest, but I have to say, that’s the foxiest I’ve seen Jackman looking. Before this ad he only got my panties in a bunch when he was sporting huge mutton chops and threatening people with fist-blades, but I’m digging the short hair. And the boy can move. I’m willing to trade the cigar for a cane, I think. I’ll miss the arms, though. There’s a pun lurking in my sleepy brain somewhere…something about the Right to Bare Arms.

  9. Lisa says:

Amazing…oh Hugh Jackman, only you could be that delicious in a Lipton Iced tea commercial.

  10. Mireya says:

I am tired just from watching all that jumping and contorting … boy am I getting really OLD…

  11. Kati says:

MMmm. Hugh. I actually think I prefer him just a little less muscle bound than he has been lately. He’s just such a talent! Must now go track down some Lipton iced tea.

  12. Jewel says:

Yummmm, Hugh Jackman. He can dance through my hotel any time he wants!!

  13. Mama Nice says:

Thanks for the yummy start to my morning! (Hugh, not the tea). I’m kind of an iced tea snob…only fresh brewed for me! Which is why I love my Mr. Coffee Iced Tea Maker. I do think I’ll need to break that thing out, it’s been in hibernation.

And like all have said, def. reminds me of Weapon of Choice. AWESOME video 🙂

  14. Ros says:

The first time I saw Hugh Jackman, he was live on stage as Curly in the National Theatre’s fabulous production of Oklahoma.  Dancing and singing his way right through it with that cute little smile.  That’s how I always think of him.  Better watch the video again…

  15. That totally made my morning!

  16. Kristin says:

Oh man, what a perfect way to start the morning – watching a sexy man have fun!

  17. teshara says:

the maids look so pissed at him!
what did his room look like after Boogie Down 2010?

  18. Gwynnyd says:

FatBoy Slim lyrics – “Walk without rhythm and you won’t attract the worm.” Dune? Whoa!  Dune!  Must be. From the movie? or the book?  Shows me how far out of the SF loop I have been.

As for Jackman, I always love a man who is a dancin’ fool.

  19. Love it!  Thanks for sharing.  What better way to start the day than with a sexy dancing man like Hugh!

  20. Madd says:

Oh, Hugh Jackman.  You know what makes this particularly sexy?  The whole commercial shows off not just his mad dancing skillz, but a sense of humour.  Seriously, you couldn’t do this without one.  Rwowr!

    QFT

  21. jinap says:

The hair.  The suit.  OH YES!  Shouldn’t the tag for this be “awesometea”?  :p Love it.

  22. Brandi says:

If they’d snuck something like this into X-Men 3 or X-Men Origins: Wolverine I think it would’ve improved things immensely.

  23. Elise Logan says:

    Want.

Oh, and, yeah, I thought Fatboy Slim/Walken/Weapon of Choice too.

  24. Donna says:

    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh………………..

  25. cories says:

The first time I saw Hugh Jackman, he was live on stage as Curly in the National Theatre’s fabulous production of Oklahoma.

Oh, what a beautiful morning!  Oh, what a beautiful day…

I got to get some tea going and watch that video again!

  26. meardaba says:

You are more than welcome, Sarah!  I plan on leaving all elevators like that from now on.  😀

  27. Kathy says:

    AWE…AWE….AWESOME

  28. KristieJ says:

While I thought the commercial was cute, sometimes I think there must be something missing in the woman in me as Hugh Jackman doesn’t do a thing for me – nor does George Clooney *sigh*

  29. cories says:

Really?  Not even a young George Clooney?

  30. Amy S says:

Who knew Hugh Jackman was hiding a pair of twinkle toes? That was freakin’ fantastic. That he is one of the sexiest men alive goes without saying. And I don’t think I’ve ever seen him look so joyful and carefree. Makes me want to dance myself.

And whoever linked the Chrstopher Walken vid – THANKS. I’ve alway loved him as an actor . And the way he worked the camera during that dance number . . .  I found him surprisingly HOT in that video.

  31. Donna says:

Thanks for the link. I reminded me that Christopher Walkin was the only thing that made Pennies From Heaven worth sitting through.

  32. KatherineB says:

Gwynnyd, the “Walk without rhythmn and you won’t attrct the worm” is really from both book and movie, though I’m sure the book phrased it diff! The movie for sure.

Got my husband turned on to Fatboy slim through his geek side from that movie reference in the song, and the brief interlude in Fatboy’s remix of Beck”s “Loser” because of the brief interlude in the middle of the song with the head-hitting monks from Monty Python’s Quest for the Holy Grail singing “Pie Jesu Domine, dona eis requiem”. He LOLed.

  33. Ros says:

Amy S, when Hugh presented the Oscars he did a song and dance routine.  Here:

  34. Ann Stephens says:

Hugh could turn me from Diet Coke to iced tea.

  35. meganb says:

    OMG

    I just… I never knew.

    I’m speechless…

    Christopher Walken is hawt!

  36. Cakes says:

He’s done several Broadway shows. I like him much better on Broadway, than as Wolverine.

I agree, he was soooo adorable in Oklahoma.

  37. Melissa says:

Normally I can’t stand tea, but I’d drink it if Hugh would dance with me.  Or for me.  🙂

  38. A friend said, “Do you realize that when asked whom you’d like to see cast as the hero if any of your books were made into movies, you always answer ‘Hugh Jackman’?”

    “Yes, and your point is….?”

  39. nekobawt says:

did someone say “hot christopher walken dance”? how about his striptease from “pennies from heaven”? DAMN but that man can move!

  40. BiblioKate says:

Oh my Gawd, I love that man.

He makes it okay that I sometimes get the urge to dance in the strangest places.
