Friday Videos Want to See the Twilight Movie

If this were the movie, I’d so see it. Especially the part about the Nickelback CD.

To make the spoof extra more awesome, compare it to the actual trailer:

Thanks to Star Opal for the link.

  1. Oh man, I just scared my dog. Thanks for the (eeveelle) laugh.

To be honest though, the genuine movie looks good too. Hey, with any luck, in 6 months it’ll be here in continental Europe…

  2. DS says:

I nearly choked on my breakfast.  Loved the parody.

Do you mean Edward kills Bambi’s mother in this movie?

  3. Malin says:

Oh, that just made my day! Agree with Nathalie and DS. Loved the parody and the movie actually looks good.

  4. DS says:

Won’t know about the real movie for sure till they get the sparkles on.

  5. ev says:

After having been forced to watch this trailer and another one, over and over and over and over and…, leading up to the release of the book, all I can say is

    THANK YOU FOR THAT PARODY!!!!

    OMG I love it!!

    and real vampires DON’T SPARKLE!!

  6. phadem says:

Ahhhh, sweet sweet parody. This is a perfect example of not taking what I read or watch too seriously.

Fave part has to be when James the ebil vamp scent’s Edward’s snack. LMAO!

Eh, vamps aren’t real…are they? *grin*

  7. Moira says:

They parody is hilarious. I’d see the movie if it were the parody. Because all the staring in the actual trailer creeps me out.

  8. Wendy says:

That’s hilarious, I would definitely watch it if it was like that!

  9. Ri L. says:

After “Who shut that?” I’m trying desperately not to crack up at work.

  10. Wendy says:

Dying.  At work.  Alone in my office.  Hope no one walks in.
I’ll be thinking about the snack sequence and giggling to myself ALL day.
Thanks, I needed a laugh this morning.

…slightly disappointed about the lack of glitz on the Edward.  The parody missed a HUGE entertainment op there.  oh well.
    much love.

  11. Tina says:

I would much rather see the spoof.  Love the cold shower, using the cardbox trap, the “snack” and sliding glass door bit!

  12. JenTurner says:

I’d see the parody before the real verson.  That was freakin’ hillarious!  And I have to agree with ev…vampires are not supposed to sparkle in the sun, they’re supposed to DIE in the sun. 🙂

  13. Polly says:

Yeah, the staring is kind of creepy.

The parody is pretty amazing though. I love that he gives her an axe for self-defense.

  14. Elyssa says:

LMAO!  I love the parody.  It had me cracking up so many times.  Hilarious!

    Thanks for the laughs!

  15. SonomaLass says:

Oh, very funny.  Can’t wait for the teenager to wake up so I can start her day with this!

I dunno about “real” vampires, but I do think Robert Pattinson is [un]dead sexy. Much better than some of the scrawny teen actors I lusted after in my youth!

  16. SuzanneG says:

OMG – that is some funny shit right there!  I about died laughing when he ran into the sliding glass door – too funny!

  17. Brandi says:

I liked the rather girly boy-screams.

  18. That was pretty funny.  The real trailer definitely needs to be spoofed.  But strangely, the book is actually closer to the spoof trailer in tone and humor… not quite as goofy, though.

  19. MoJo says:

But strangely, the book is actually closer to the spoof trailer in tone and humor…

    Not intentionally.  That’s what’s hilarious.

  20. ehren says:

with any luck, the actual movie won’t make me want to kill people like the book makes me want to do as does the fanbase.

  21. Isabeau says:

    *dies laughing*

And actually, for full awareness of the awesomeness of the spoof, the second trailer (here) is needed.  (Since some of the spoofed clips come from that instead of the first.)

  22. Lyra says:

    *howls* That is brilliant.

Also, I love the fact that the actors in the parody are capable of a greater range of facial expressions than the actual actors.

Edward: *stare* *pensive stare* *stare stare stare*
Bella: *stare* *stare* *confused stare* *loving stare* *stare stare stare*

captcha word: member63… I’m not even going to touch that.

  23. Esri Rose says:

Isabeau: Thanks for the second link. That made it even betterer!

Girly screams in the shower and the guy who can’t get out of the box. OMG, so funny.

I honestly can’t tell the diff between the gal in the real trailer and the one in the spoof.

  24. Kate says:

Oh dear god, those girly screams in the cold shower had me howling. As did the Nickelback CD bit. I’d see the parody in a heartbeat.

  25. The only thing the parody trailer was missing was, indeed, a ton of glitter falling off the guy playing Edward. The exact kind of glitter that you sprinkle all over craft projects at day camp. Tons of it. Falling off his hair and his shirt, and leaving a glittery smear when he crashes into the patio door.

  26. Roxy Harte says:

So far, I’ve watched three times…alone, with my teen daughter, and when my teen daughter sat on her bf and forced him to watch it:) The last scene is a scream every time!

    Thanks fo sharing!

  27. CHH says:

Never fear folks, I have it on good authority there will be sparkles in the movie.  If the real movie had the sense of fun the parody trailer did, I think it’d actually be good.  I think most laughs from the real movie are going to be of the unitentional variety.  Have you seen the hairstyles these vampires are sporting?  One of them looks like he’s modeled his haircut on Barbie’s former boyfriend Ken.

  28. kukulcan girl says:

with any luck, the actual movie won’t make me want to kill people like the book makes me want to do as does the fanbase.

Wow, talk about a hater.  Don’t see the movie, then (duh).

  29. Maureen says:

I saw the spoof before I saw the actual one, and I thought, “It can’t be that spoofable, can it? Can it?”

After watching the original trailer, all I can think to say is:

    “I can has restraining order?”

  30. Susan/DC says:

Give those kids a scriptwriting contract, stat.  They’ve definitely got the satire concept down pat.  Loved their spoof, and I even liked the book.  Especially loved the list of things Bella is supposed to tell Edward (“let me write this down”) and when he gets distracted by the hot girl—much more like a real teenage boy than the oh-so-perfect Edward in the book.  Definitely will be sharing this one.

  31. Randi says:

That was hilarious! I can’t wait to see what the Scary Movie folks will do with this.

  32. Nat says:

That had to be the funniest spoof I’ve seen since “United 300.” I’d watch that spoof movie over “Epic Movie” or “Disaster Movie” any day. we need our spoofs to be funny again!

I’m a big fan of the books, but I know the movie is going to be bad. It’s rare that a movie can be as good as the book and both trailers are set up to make it perfect for a spoof.

Those kids should be signed to a deal right now – we need their kind of funny in our movies!

  33. ev says:

I can’t wait to see what the Scary Movie folks will do with this.

OMG!! I didn’t even think of them. I can’t wait for this one. Love those movies, no matter how bad they really are.

  34. Fiamme says:

The spoof was hilarious!  Please switch the link to the second one provided in comments, as it’s much closer and pure gold.

I am not a hater of the book – I liked it. But in a movie you can’t immerse yourself in the PoV the same way, so watching it from the outside in the snippet of a trailer (no immersion yet!) it’s slightly creepy. The whole obsessive Romeo-and-Juliet It’ll All End In Tears, Kids from the outside.  Not sure I’ll watch it, although I’m likely to keep getting the books out as they arrive in the library.
