It’s time for our Friday funk: give me the name of the heroine, the title of the book, and the name of the author, and do so expediently, and we Smart Bitches who Confuseth Michelles shall bestow upon you a fine Smarte Bitche Title!

Driven lady seeks warrior lord

Blonde beauty with earthy upbringing seeks rakishly confident noble warrior to help me attain revenge. Must be willing to deal with plainly spoken miss, one who stubbornly refuses to divulge the truth of who I am. Must also not be alarmed should I eat the shrubbery.

Okay, I read this book many times back in the day, but I have a terrible memory. Or maybe I’m just slow today. What’s that about *shrubbery*?

OMG! I JUST read that last week! Or re-read. And I could’ve guessed it if I hadn’t been coerced into a training workshop! Grrrr!

I also thought she was one of the flakiest of all of Julie Garwood’s heroines.

It’s obviously been too long since I read this book. I didn’t remember the shrubbery at all.

Isnt’ there a scene where she’s in a garden and surreptitiously eats a leaf and the hero sees her?

I think it’s the only scene in the book I remember.  lol Would be funny if I don’t even remember it right.

Damn!  I actually knew this one but my internet service went down.  I just can’t win.....

Yeah, she’s at a garden party and is listening to music while the hero and his friend are watching her, and she absentmindedly pulls a leaf off a bush and eats it.

If I remember, the hero’s friend asks, “So which one is she,” and he hero replies, “The one eating the shrubbery.”

Cracked me up - one of the most memorable romance novel scenes I’ve read.

Yes, I definitely loved this book and the shrubbery was the only clue that would have told me the book.

Alas, it is Sat night and even though I think I would have known it, I bet I would have been sitting scratching my head about the shrubbery.  Course with you guys I would have been wondering if shrubbery was a euphemism!
