Reader Raha asks for your help identifying this one. Me? I haven’t a clue. I also freak out that I can’t find my keys while I’m driving my car, and have to remind myself that they are, in fact, in the ignition. But that’s just me.
I think the heroine is named Megan Halliday and she was married to hero’s younger brother named Eric, a boy-genius violinist. She has a tragic past (raped by her ex and lost the baby) .The hero is a count and I think named Curt Von something.. he is a widower and has a daughter. I think the book is set in Vienna, Austria.
Basically the premise of the book is the heroine inherits a land after her husband’s death and the hero is worried that she might sell it to the developers. So he invites her over and she eventually ends up falling in love with him and gifts the deed to his daughter.
I vaguely remember it to be named something like sound/music of love , but could not recall the actual title and author.. Appreciate if some one could help.

I have a friend in Austria and I’ve been looking for something interesting to get her for her birthday. I’m going to look for a used copy ASAP. She sent me The Radetzky March for my birthday. This book would be compliable. Right?

Not to be contrary, but as an Austrian I ought to point out that romance novels rarely get the Austrian part rigth. I do not know the book of course so it might be wonderful, but still. “Radezky March” is a classic in Austria, very literary, and I not sure that there are many people here who like both literature and romance. Some do, of course (myself included) but it really depends on your friend. Sorry to but in and no offence intended, of course!
No offense taken at all! But I was actually just being funny. I know there’s no comparison. I sent her Thomas Wolfe’s Look Homeward Angel in exchange for the Roth since I’m from North Carolina. She loves Romance though even with a masters in Comparative Lit. I thought she might get a kick out of the book as a lark. I found one in very good condition for $3.00
Actually I thought it might be a joke (a good one, I think!) but I wasn’t sure. Some people take their reading very seriously! ;)
Your friend sounds like fun - I do not know anyone who likes romance too here in my little corner of the world. It’s a bit of a secret life really (I have a degree in german literature, so people who see me reading romances are usually aghast. No use explaining - I usually tell them I read them for brushing up my English!). Did you like Radezky March by the way? I love that book, Roth is one of my favourite writers....
She never gets my sarcasm either. lol
She tends to get the same reaction to her reading romanace and I don’t think more than a few ppl know she writes it (in English) too.
