Check out the name of Nora Roberts’ hero in her re-released 1998 book Spellbound:

Eyebrows! Calin Farrell.

Ha!

I wonder if any editors for the re-released edition considered changing the name?

Or, was the goal for us to read it and picture the eyebrows?

The man desperately need a brow wax. I don’t care how fucking studly you think you are, pal. Unibrows are not sexy.

Like two giant caterpillars on his forehead.

He is sexy though in that way you know is totally bad for you but you eat three cupcakes anyway sort of way.

Colin’s eyebrows wiggled as he eyed the nubile young spellboung witch. “Ay! he cried. “Wot do we have here? Let’s destroy a hotel ruum!”

A whole book ruined for me, even if it doesn’t contain that line. *sigh* Now all I can think of is an overacting unibrow munching on heroines. And not in a good way.

Oooh! His eyebrows were one of the many things that bothered me about “Alexander”.

They were so BROWN. And his hair was so BLONDE. I couldn’t stop staring at them.

Come on guys, Colin Farrell!  Even though he seems to be a major prick in real life, you just gotta imagine how hot he must be!

IMHO

I dunno. He seems a little too satisfied with himself to worry about satisfying someone else, you dig? He just seems really...self-involved.

Alas, ‘Colin Farrell’ is a very average name in this, his native town. So much so that if I hear or read it, I don’t automatically think “famous film star”. I think, “hmm, was he in college with me or something?” So I’m pretty sure the same thing would happen if I read a book with a Colin Farrell as the hero.

“Ay! he cried. “Wot do we have here? Let’s destroy a hotel ruum!”

Sorry, Lilith, but you really have to work on your phonetically transcribed Dublin accents… :)

Ack. Unfortunately, Dublin isn’t one of my dialects. I could do a great French prig, though.
