Apologies for forgetting about the Lonely Heart contest last week, my leeetle bunnies. But I’m back, now--somehow managed to wrangle my brain back from its wanderings on Omicron Persei 8--and this week’s is a gooood one. As always, first one to correctly guess the author’s name, the title of the book and the heroine’s full name will be bestowed with a prize above pearls (or *koff* pearl necklaces): A Smart Bitch title. Hooray!

I’m a Regency miss who seeks escape from dissolute father who’s willing to use me to settle his gambling debts. Prefer pale and interesting aristocrats, pulse optional; am willing to put up with blood-breath in the morning and help break curses by nookifying during a strategic time of the year.

Adding to the above, because I was trying to be fast… I can’t believe I actually had a chance to answer!  These are usually posted when I’m not home.

Oooh, yay!  I’ve wanted a Smart Bitch title for forever!  (It’s one of my “keeper” books, though I think my favorite of hers is “The Devil’s Bargain,” because the way the Eveline uses her brain to scam the Devil).
