That was the cutest thing in the world.  I thought it was just coincidence, until the otter swung around and grabbed hold.

What amazed me was when they were separated at the end, they reached out to hold “hands” again.

Otterly adorable.  And the light colored one looks like my dear husband.

That is soooooo sweet.  The paws with the reach out and hold at the end was romance perfection (I’m always saying people don’t use the simple holding of hands in romance enough).

Can I imagine Nine Inch Nails’s Closer?

What am I talking about—of course I can imagine Closer.

I SO loved it!  That otter is infinitely sweeter and more mellow than my S.O.

That was a very cute video, but I feel obligated to inject some reality into the life of otters.  Those were, most likely, female otters.  They often will not house male and female otters in the same exhibit because the mating habits of otters are fairly brutal.  The male will subdue the female by biting her nose during the act, sometimes even pushing her head under the water and drowning her.

In this case, the “romance” is the sweetness of companionship.

So ... they’re lesbian otters?

The video was cute though. My kids thought so too.
