Bronwyn Clarke was kind enough to mention us funky Bitches in an interview in The Australian. How COOL is that? I am literally hopping up and down in my bed. Ow.

I would still be drinking cyber-champagne, except that I’ve had to spend most of the long weekend grading university essays - a task that does not mix, in my universe anyway, with champagne. Hell, I haven’t had champagne since Friday, and I tonight I still misread the words ‘fairy tale prince’ as ‘hairy tail prince.’

Her book is smoking hot good stuff. It better be for sale over here, too.
I don’t even remember all the mastrubation stuff in Deenie. For me, it was also the book about scoliosis and body image, and what happens when all of a sudden your image of yourself changes, and how isolated that Deenie felt having to wear that back brace. I remember feeling for Deenie, and how much I identified with her as a character.
