I’m fairly new to the site (this is my first post!), and new to the genre.  But I’m ravenously consuming anything I can get my hands on, so I very much appreciate recommendations like Unveiled.  I read it last week and love, love, loved it!  I’m looking forward to the chat and Q and A with the author.

  2. SB Sarah says:

Welcome, Emly. I am so glad you liked Unveiled! It is a delicious book, isn’t it?

  3. Virg says:

Yey! I’ve been waiting for the date of the chat after I read the book. Thank goodness I’m free on that day. 🙂 Thanks again for recommending this one SB Sarah!

  4. Carrie S says:

Yay for book club!  I’d like to suggest “Iron Duke”.  I am dying to know whether or not readers think Rhys is a complete asshat, and if not, why?  Does he redeem himself or is he just a big jerk?

  5. Karenmc says:

Having missed the last couple of chats, I swear I’ll be at this one (great choice, Sarah). And I have time to re-read the book!

  6. Liz says:

i might actually be making my lasagna for dinner that night because it is my mom’s birthday.  i will definitely be free by the time of the chat, though.

  7. April says:

Yay book club! I’ll be able to go to the whole chat AND I just finished the book. It was amazing.

And a lot of highlander romance novels seem to be coming out in March so maybe one of those would work for the next pick?

  8. Jenn LeBlanc says:

oo YAY! Loved Unveiled, and second the Iron Duke. I was BLOWN AWAY by the Iron Duke.

I had never read anything like Steampunk and didn’t really like the fantasy genres, BUT, whoa Iron Duke.

    So…yeah.

  9. Tiffani says:

Based on your review of “Unveiled”, I downloaded and holy smokes, I LOVED it.  For me, it was one of the best examples of a well written plot with great character development and believable romance.  At no point did I have to snort to myself and say “Yea, Right!”.

I am going to check out Courtney Milan’s other books and she may become one of my few autobuy authors.

So looking forward to this. I love Courtney’s online presence, but Proof by Seduction just didn’t work for me. A little bummed, I moved on because not every author’s style works for everyone. No longer! Can’t wait to talk about why I loved this book so much.

I’d thrown in a vote for Vivi Andrews’ “The Sexorcist,” a novel with a heart transplant heroine. Silly title, fun and heartwarming book with great themes for discussion.

  11. Alyssa Cole says:

I’m new to the site, too, and addicted. I just started unveiled but I’m loving the interplay of characters already. Excited to hear everyone’s thoughts next week!

  12. Literary Slut says:

Won’t be able to make to chat, but just want to inform anyone planning to cook the book that you don’t have to worry too much about fire danger if baking. Unless you are planning to cook at very high temps, you should be safe. Thanks to Ray Bradbury, we all know that the temp at which paper burns is Fahrenheit 451. I clean my Hanukkah candles of wax every year by placing them on a cookie sheet lined with newspaper and putting them into the oven at the lowest setting. The wax melts out, then a quick wipe with a soft rag, and I’m good to go for next year. Broiling paper recipes would probably not be a good idea.
