Sizzling Book Club January Selection: Here Comes the Groom by Karina Bliss

Sizzling Book ClubIf you read the chat transcript from our Sizzling Book Club chat the other night, you saw at the end that I announced the next book club pick: Karina Bliss’ Here Comes the Groom.

Book Cover YOU. GUYS. Seriously. I couldn’t have enjoyed this book more: a terribly real heroine with Real Problems who has a deep and abiding friendship with the hero—it’s friends to lovers with secrets and an over-the-top awesome ending, plus outstanding dialogue and hilarity. GO READ IT. Here, have blurb:

If Jocelyn Swann weren’t so furious, she’d probably laugh. Her best friend, Dan Jansen, has launched a campaign worthy of his Special Forces training to arrange their wedding, from music and minister to flowers and food. What part of no does he not understand?

Their marriage “agreement” was a tipsy scrawl on the back of a coaster…three years ago! It’s not a question of love. Of course she loves Dan. She’s loved him all her life. If only she could get him to slow down a minute and listen—to be the friend she needs right now—she could convince him that marriage would ruin everything.

As usual, if you use SBTBARE at checkout, you will get a 50% eBook Bucks Rebate at AllRomance.com, the official sponsor of the Sizzling Book Club. You can also buy a copy at Amazon.com, or Book Depository, or wherever the books in your preferred format are sold.

I’m already working on scheduling the chat, and author Karina Bliss is all over it, so if you read the book and enjoy it, you’ll be able to chat with the author at the next chat session. Please note: several participants told me there are now popup ads in the CoverItLive window during the live chat. I had NO idea, and I apologize profusely for that! I’m going to look for another onscreen chat option, but if you have one to suggest, please email me at sarahATsmartbitchestrashybooksDOTcom. If I can find a way to keep CoverItLive but get rid of the ads, I will do so. My apologies – I had no idea.

But since it is The Holiday Season, we’re doing something a little different this time: Karina Bliss has offered up three signed paperback copies, and I have three digital copies from All Romance to offer, so if you’re thinking you want to try this book, leave a comment and let me know which format you’d prefer. You have (OOPS – a little over) 24 hours to win.

Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. Winners are chosen by the Random Integer Generator. Your mileage may vary. Void where prohibited. Do not remove this tag under penalty of law.

I cannot wait to hear what you think of this book. Karina Bliss is one of the best Harlequin authors I’ve read, and I would love to hear your reaction to this book when we next convene the Sizzling Book Club Chat.
