Sizzling Summer Book Club: Next Friday Night!

Sizzling Book Club Next Friday, 20 August, we’ll be hosting the latest Sizzing Summer Book Club Chat where we’ll be talking about All I Ever Wanted, by Kristan Higgins. So many people have emailed or tweeted at me about the book, so I’m betting this will be a very fun discussion.

It’ll be at 9:00 pm EDT on Friday, so bring your favorite beverage, and come join the conversation! Kristan will be stopping by at 10pm EDT to answer questions, and if this is like our previous chats, it’ll be a fiesta of snort-laughs, with random polls and attempts at cookie extortion should you mention you are enjoying baked goods.

I’m also open to suggestions for our next book club book, and I’m hoping to find a discussion-worthy paranormal for our next chat, so please, let me know what books are out now that you absolutely loved. See you Friday!

Oh i am so excited about a paranormal romance, I will have to think of something. Putting the chat on the calendar. Thanx!

  2. Kristin says:

I want to recommend Given by Lisa G Riley and Roslyn Hardy Holcomb.  It’s an extremely well written book but it does tend to the Erotica end of the paranormal romances.  Both Lisa and Ros are great ladies and I am pretty sure one or both of them would participate in the discussion.

  3. Carrie says:

Anything but “Bitten”, please – I know it seems to be the paranormal that everyone loves, but I couldn’t even finish it.  No rapetastic-ness, please pretty please!

  4. cate says:

I can   highly recommend The Guernsey Literary
And Potato Peel Pie Society (fab title)
My romance of the year so far. It’s written in letter
form, & not only made me laugh, but also moved me
to tears. The author is Mary Anne Shaffer with Annie Barrows
It’s wonderful, I keep buying it for people as a present,
& telling complete strangers in bookshops to get it
(I REALLY must stop doing that !)

  5. Sorry I won’t be able to join in the fun on Friday night.  I really enjoyed ALL I EVER WANTED!  Can’t wait to see what the next book club pick is.

  6. cories says:

Unfortunately, I’ll be on a working vacation (may or may not be able to be online at the appointed time).  Dang!  That’s two book clubs in a row that I’m missing!

  7. Sascha says:

    looking forward to the chat!

  8. Tina C. says:

I’ll still be at sea—leave on our cruise today!!—and won’t be able to join.  I’m sure everyone will have lots to talk about, though.

  9. Sascha says:

    @ Tina C. – cruise? i envy you! bon voyage 🙂

  10. Sycorax says:

Damn – that’s noon Saturday in Australia, and I have too much to do that day, including vote… *sigh*

Ever since discovering Nalini Singh I have been interested in reading more paranormal romance, but haven’t known where to start. I approve of this suggestion.

  11. Kilian Metcalf says:

Oh, pooh.  I’ll still be at work on Friday at that time.  I loved the previous SSBC and was looking forward to this one.  Oh, well, there’s always next time, and the book was a fun read.  Trying to think of a good paranormal.

  12. mikaela says:

Paranormal? Hum.  Gena Showalter? Meljean Brooks? Nalini Singh?
    Lindsay Sands? Kresley Cole?
Wen Spencer? ( All right not quite Paranormal, but GOOD!)

terms 28 Yes,  today is my birthday but I am not quite at terms with the fact that I am 28.

  13. Samantha Molesky says:

I would be happy to attend! I love to review good books and cannot wait to hear what all is being said about books coming up. As for paranoramal.. well JR Ward, Christine Feehan, Christina Dodd, or Lara Adrain.

  14. Daniela says:

oh my god, so All I Ever Want by Kristan Higgins was my first romance novel EVER, and I LOVED IT! I heard about it from you guys, and so I picked it up! I finished it in 3 days, and then went out and got 2 of her other books! along with another romance novel!
I really wish that I could make it, but I can’t…. I just wanted to thank you guys so much for suggesting this book, and I can’t wait for the next one you recommend!
    thanks again!
