I think that’s an obituary any romance author would be proud of.
From Another Face of Romance for That More Better Documentary
I realize that asking you to watch a political ad is a LOT to ask. That’s why I’m not embedding the video in this entry, because then you might not be able to stop yourself from watching ONE MORE political advertisement. And then your head would explode. We can’t have that.
But - should you be interested in what some of Theresa Spry’s ads look like for her race in the South Dakota legislature, take a look.
The checklist on the ad was a nice touch. Do you think if Napoli was elected THOSE would be the papers in the abortion clinics?
“Virgin? Yup. Saving myself? Yup. Raped? Totally. Oh, crap - I wasn’t sodomized. Guess I’m ineligible.”
I also liked the check list. The one thing I didn’t like was a girl saying, “That is so wrong.” I think it gave it an amateurish feel that it didn’t have before. Unless that girl is a local celebrity that was raped, sodomized, brutalized, etc., they should get rid of her.
I’m grateful I don’t live in South Dakota, because I’d have to throw a shoe at the TV every time I saw that ad. And living in a state where Arnold Schwarzenegger is seeking reelection, I’m already running out of shoes.
I hadn’t seen a picture of Napoli before this, and I must admit I was surprised. I really thought he would look more evil.
Thanks for posting a link to the ad. Hopefully, it will have a lot of impact and get Napoli out of office.
Brenda!
That shoe thing is sooo funny! I’m Canadian and our system works a bit differently, but it seems as though there’s *always* an election going on down in the States!
