Here it is, the 2011 Literacy Signing video, complete with dancing. Well, some dancing. Mostly authors and readers making one awesome night for romance and literacy.
Enjoy, y’all. And thank you to all the authors and readers who participated. Someday I’ll do one of Freebird or In A Gadda Da Vida so I can use every last person I film in the video.
What a great video. I was lucky enough to be at that signing and contributed toward that final goal. What a great number for literacy! I loved every minute and can’t wait for it to be in NY again so I can return!
Great video, Sarah! I always get a little chill at the end when I see how much money was raised. What a fabulous event for such a worthy cause.
Thanks for taking the time to make and post this. 🙂
God, I love that song. I walked down the aisle to it at my wedding (duh; how many other times would I walk ceremoniously down an aisle with a classic rock song playing?).
Fantastic video; I’ve been looking forward to it for weeks!
Great video Sarah. Thank you.
Fun! Thanks for the video, Sarah. I hope this means it will be an annual event.
Even after five viewings, I still tear up at the end every time. Well done, Wendell!
Great job, Sarah! It was so fun to see some of my favorite authors in the video (Meg Cabot, Kristan Higgins, Jill Shalvis, SEP).
Tearing up here in Australia, too. Thanks so much!
That was awesome. You guys all look as though you’re having a great time. Sigh.
Wonderful!
Kudos to all and what a brilliant amount raised too!
The video was wonderful, Sarah! I love seeing my favorite writers. It looked like a very happy day for all. Thank you!
I want to see one to In A Gadda Da Vida, haha!
Thanks, Sarah! Looks like everyone had a grand time.
Great video – thanks for sharing! Looks like everyone had a wonderful time – I’m jealous :o)
Looks like so so so so so so much fun! Love (and books) is all we need! Great job, on the video.
Saving my pennies (and nickels and dimes) now to come next year!
Today (before watching) I found the perfect really long song for such a video – Tainted Love as done by SoftCell (with the whole “where did our love go” and really long bridge)
But after watching, I feel like it would just be too cynical for such a fabulous group of authors. Oh well.
You captured the excitement and fun of that event perfectly! I was there volunteering (at the exit) all night, but I didn’t see the video production so this is a fabulous surprise.
It would be great every year!
Next year maybe I’ll sing and dance too…
