One of Freebird’s new words is, “Twoooooo.” He tries to hold up two fingers, but hasn’t quite mastered the coordination needed. But “Two little kittens and a pair of mittens?” The Bird chimes in with, “TWOOOOOO!” It’s very cool, and amazing that he’s getting verbal.
Good things come in twos. Man titties! Titties in general, I suppose.
And Smart Bitches - and Smart Bitches, Trashy Books. Today marks the 2nd anniversary of our site. So, if I could be given a moment of sappy crap, Candy: you’re awesome. There’s nothing better than being a Smart Bitch with you.

Wonder of wonders, one of my comparative literature classes in University is studying Popular Literature, and we’re on the Romance section of the syllabus right about now. I suggested your site to my prof, who went absolutely nuts (in the good way!).
Last summer, when I went to work at Chapters, one of my female co-workers gave me a tour of the sections, and when she came to the enormous Romance section, she whispered, “I really believe you lose brain cells when you read that stuff.” Argh! I really love what your site has done to dispel that ridiculous notion.
Your site has always been my source for insightful reviews of good romance and deliciously vicious thrashings of bad romance, enough to turn me onto a genre I never before considered reading (I was afraid of the covers....).
