Desecration, ahoy!

Amidst all this talk about man-on-man love, it was weirdly appropriate that the Very Tall Husband found the following video—which he promptly shared with me, of course. And I had to share it with you, my beloved readers. Because it is so very, very wrong.

Note: Video is accompanied by Nine Inch Nails’ “Closer,” which, if you didn’t know already, contains the line “I want to fuck you like an animal.” Those at the office or who have wee kidlets/relatives with delicate sensibilities running around within earshot, exercise due discretion.

I’ve always loved this song, but the original NIN video, not so much.  This one, though?—bliss.

  2. Ann Aguirre says:

Holy cow, they did an phenomenal job with the footage. If I hadn’t watched the shows, I’d swear there was something cookin’ between Spock and Kirk!

  3. Rosie says:

I’ve got to show this to so many people…this is too cool not to share.

  4. Jessant says:

Did you ask to link this? I mean, seriously, the person who made this video has asked repeatedly not to have this video and other videos she’s made stolen and placed on other people’s sites. She’s had to password protect her entire site so that rude people wouldn’t take her work like this and post it on youtube. It’s just a matter of etiquette. She made it, afterall.

  5. Jessant says:

What I’m saying is that someone stole this video and put it on youtube. I don’t think I was clear about that before. Gah, sorry. So, I think it’s not right to link it.

  6. Katie Ann says:

Gotta love remixed videos like that…has anyone seen the Sleepless in Seattle or the Brokeback to the Future ones?  Total genius…

  7. SandyO says:

Brings new meaning to “where no man has gone before.”

  8. Candy says:

Jessant: I had no idea it was placed on Youtube without permission. All it said was it was made by t. jonsey and killa, neither of whom were the person who posted it on Youtube. If you’d provide a link to the people who made this, I’d like to at least credit them and/or link to the video from their site directly.

  9. Alexandra says:

Why can I not stop watching this video?

  10. fiveandfour says:

Shoot – killabeez had given me the info on how to access the original site with the password and ::sob:: I see I deleted it by accident from my inbox.  Here’s her e-mail address, Candy: killa @ slashcity.com.  (If she gives you the site details again, can you e-mail them to me?  There’s a ton more stuff there I wanted to see, but hadn’t gotten to yet.  ::Recommences sobbing again::.)

  11. Saam says:

That is pure bliss! The creator obviously put a lot of work into it. More!

My recent favourite was this mash-up:

There are a lot of Harry Potter m/m mash-ups in there too.

  12. Carrie Lofty says:

I will never look at Spock the same way.  Fantastic work!  These mash-ups crack me up.  My husband found this classic, from The Shining:

  13. Miri says:

The Husband was transfixed… should I worry?

  14. Lorelie says:

Who knew?  The best way to jump start your day doesn’t involve caffeine, it’s a homoerotic splicing of Spock and Captain Kirk!

Seriously, what a frickin’ awesome way to get my Monday going.

  15. eggs says:

It’s kinda harsh to call Candy a thief and one of the “rude people” for posting this, when a quick google shows that it’s available on at least half a dozen websites, none of which (of the google results) appear to be the original.  Even you (Jessant) didn’t now the address of the website it was originally from, so how was Candy supposed to know?  I think the author’s beef (in this case) lies with youtube, not with youtube linkers.

  16. Sarah F. says:

The original meaning of Slash fiction was the “/” between “K” and “S” as in K/S or Kirk/Spock.  The very first slash fan fiction was written about these two.  So, yeah, makes absolutely sense.

    Jesus, that was brilliant.

  17. Saam says:

I forwarded the link to dear husband, he was suitably gobsmacked (especially because he loves Shatner in Boston Legal)then he proceeded to find out all about slash fiction as Sarah F mentioned above! There’s a good article on wiki for those interested.

  18. Mel-O-Drama says:

wow. is it weird that i was a little turned on by that?

  19. Kaite says:

Oh, I shouldn’t have watched that, but it was SOOOOO worth it!

    I need a cigarette…. ;-P

Oh, Gods, and my little word thing below is “get54.” Shouldn’t that be “get69”?  😆

  20. I knew it.

Actually, it was Sulu who came out.

  21. tisty says:

This is going to sound odd, but I never thought of Kirk as cute before. Now ‘seeing’ him trying to fight his attraction to Spock, well lets just say that suddenly I get the whole Star trek phenonimum.

If only the real show had been like that. I might have enjoyed it more!

    Does that make me strange??

    :cheese:

  22. Madd says:

Spock is sooo gay for Kirk! :snake:

I’m dying over here … seriously … I laughed so hard that now I can’t stop coughing! Candy, if I die … it’s all your fault for posting this!! *dies*

See … now you’ve done it!

  23. Robin says:

I think the author’s beef (in this case) lies with youtube, not with youtube linkers.

Because of the sick way my own mind works, my first question after seeing this was whether the creator of this video could even claim ownership rights over it when it contains borrowed images and music.  Like, is this an instance of fair use, or is the video a copyright violation to begin with?  Although perhaps that accounts for some of her anxiety over having it shared.

  24. December says:

Sooo awesome. As a longtime Spock fan (mmmm…Spock) I admit seeing him going after Kirk was a little disheartening. But as long as they let me watch…maybe join in…

    I can dream, can’t I?

  25. Kimber says:

I’m with Mel-O-Drama—that was strangely erotic/compelling. Very professional editing doesn’t hurt, of course.

  26. AnimeJune says:

Okay, I’m sorry I can’t jump on the man-love-train thing, but that video freaked me THE HELL OUT. Not the fact that it was suggesting Kirk and Spock had it goin’ on – just the creepy editing, the violent music, and the whole fetishism of the video turned me right off. Ick.

But I would have no problem with Spock being gay. I think THIS proves it, albiet in a more pleasant, musical way:

This is %100 real. I kid you NOT.

  27. Doug Hoffman says:

That made my day. My week. My YEAR.

Yer gettin’ some linky lurve from this, my dear.

  28. azteclady says:

That’s exactly what I thought myself.

On the posted video, call me weird, but while I have no problem with the pairing, and never have, I don’t like the music.

  29. Kris Starr says:

Oh, mah Gawd. Must. Stop. Watching.

    Can’t.

The Kirk/Spock is *brilliant*. Brilliant! I must admit, I, too, found it totally erotic and arousing—it doesn’t hurt that I LOVE that NiN song, either.

And then, of course, I had to follow all the other links everyone’s provided…

No wonder my bowl of cereal has gone soggy and my coffee’s cold. That’s what I get for coming here first thing in the morning… 😀

  30. mcnappyy says:

    Simply freaking awesome.
