Many, many people take photos at RWA. And you’ve seen really, really good ones at other sites, with beautiful folks in ball gowns noshing on all the chocolate in the universe at the RITA reception, authors meeting happy fans, and people queuing up to have books signed at the literacy signing. I don’t have many of those.

What do I have? LOLRWAs. Get ready. They’re terrible. Enjoy!

Someone at the Graph Jam might want to adjust the numbers as to the squeeful hyperbolic 5 star reviews. Klausner alone accounts for at least a 10-12% increase. 

Thanks to the many, many people who forwarded me the Fail Blog’s salute to three-handed romance. I have a special love of that cover - that chick is my avatar. Why? The only thing better than having a third hand would be the magical ability to conjure up more hours in the day. Three hands?! OMG PLZ.

So! A contest is born! Take that fabulous cover and LOL-caption it. Certainly we can do better than “FAIL,” because certainly, while it’s an artistic fail, as a matter of promotional opportunity, for Christina Dodd, it was utterly full of win.

I have been looking for a book for a year now, a historical romance I read back in the 90’s.

The book started out with a scene of a very young girl looking for her kitten in the hull of (her father’s?) ship, knowing she was told not to go down there.  She ends up being raped by two crew members.
Then it flashes forward years later, she is the captain of a ship.
Now, she either robbed one of the hero’s ships, or the king/queen sent him to find her, can’t quite remember but then the story follows that he is looking for her “Phantom Ship”, unaware that she is in fact a woman- though I don’t thinks she is disguised.
I know at one point he boards her ship with permission, he wants information from her.

If you can remember this book, I will spread my praises for you far and wide! lol

I’m not sure if I could read this one, but if her ship is the Black Pearl, I am cheering this heroine on. And I’m cheering on Shanna, who was named after another book I can’t read.
